Poor Savannah, she didn't want to take a nap before us running errands this morning so she wanted to sleep while we were taking pictures! :(

Happy Birthday Addison!

Yesterday was Addison's 2nd birthday and part of our routine in the morning is that I turn on the Disney channel to entertain Addison while I feed the babies. So, in this particular episode on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse it was Daisy Duck's birthday. And she got cake. And somehow (I honestly don't understand how) she made the connection that on your birthday you get cake. Well, Addison started walking around the house saying, "Momma, Cake, Birthday!" She was looking for her birthday cake. GRRRRR....so we had to make some cupcakes. They are really good though. We made Applesauce Spice Cupcakes. With Browned Butter Frosting!!! YUM!

So anyway here is my birthday girl eating her cupcake!

Brian also got his Christmas present in the mail yesterday. It was a fence for his table saw that he got for Father's Day last year. So Addison got a HUGE box to play and color in!

And we finally got some Charlotte smiles!

Savannah was less than thrilled with the camera yesterday. I was interrupting her swing time.

I don't remember what day it was this week but the girls were both sleeping so soundly and they looked very similar.

But, Savannah is on the bottom of the picture and Charlotte on top.

SNOW!!!!!

We finally got some snow here and I decided to try and wrangle Addison into some snow clothes and try and take her outside. It made me wonder how I ever managed to put 20 kids into snow clothes and keep my sanity.

But, I finally did get her outside and she LOVED it!!!!! She had a great time just walking around in the snow, yelling momma!!!! SNOW!!!! But she really doesn't say "s's" yet so she would walk around yelling momma!!!! NO!!!!!!

I did get a chance to get a few photos of her, so enjoy!

 

This is what happens when you have an almost two year old that doesn't want to go inside...she honestly stood at the door and cried to go back outside. Poor girl!

And last night I had a thief....I made Stromboli for dinner last night and all my cut up veggies kept disappearing.

I finally discovered why...

One small step...

This is what started off as a simple project, then something happened, something amazing.

Addison doesn't like to get her hands dirty; so as I was preparing this project I decided to be nice and not force her to do something I know she doesn't like.

All I did was put shaving cream and a couple of drops of food coloring in a plastic bag and let her squish the bag.

Still squishing the bag,

Then the bag exploded and SHE GOT HER HANDS DIRTY!!!! And didn't freak out and ask for her patties to be washed!!!!!

And she actually had fun with it!

Look!! Look Momma!!!

Some even got in her hair!!!

Some moms would be mortified if their child got messy and put shaving cream all over her dinning room table. But not me, I was ecstatic!!!!

So as you can see, this was one small step for Addison, one giant leap for momma-kind!!!!! :)

 



Getting back into the swing of things...

So we are back home again, starting to get back into our routine.

I figured that Grandma's needed some "newer" pictures of the girls since they are doing new things.

They both are getting so strong that they can hold their heads up for quite a while now and love to get tummy time.

They also love playing in our Jenny Jump-Up and in the exersaucers.

Also Addison discovered that she loves to eat apples whole!

Charlotte was watching her big sister eat the apple...she kept smacking her lips looking for her own food!

Addison is also interacting more with the twins, especially when they are in the exersaucers!

She loves to share toys with them and spin them into circles.

And last but not least, here is Charlotte. I haven't caught a good smile picture of her on camera yet, but she sure likes to hand them out quite frequently!!!
