Walk for Wishes

This morning we took part in the Walk for Wishes. It was a lot of fun and it was great to get out of the house for a little while. And it was for a great cause...the Make A Wish Foundation.

Here are the girls. They had a lot of fun too! Addison was all about the snacks I had packed for her. No, I didn't give her Frito's at 8 a.m. this morning....Daddy did. The twins did amazing. they were very content to sit and watch everyone before the walk started then as soon as we started walking the fell asleep! :)

Walking...check out everyone in front of us!! Dogs were welcome on the walk. But, we left Presley and Mocha at home. I thought 3 little girls and a husband would be enough to take care of.

During the walk...and rockin a new stroller for the twins!!!!!

This is Addison's McCarthy dress!!!! We were given a t-shirt for her but it was an Adult small. So I made a dress for her out of the shirt!! Isn't it adorable!!!!

Backside of the dress...for you McCarthy people.....It even had the "Dude" on it!

Well, we tried to get a family picture at the end of the walk. As you can see, someone didn't want to cooperate.

Doin the baby shuffle.

and Addison!

After a long walk and a car ride home...you fall asleep.

with your Frito's!

One Year Later...

It was a year ago this week that we discovered we were going to be having twins.

It was one year ago this Saturday that Addison and I went to my Dr. to get an actual 8 weeks ultrasound and the u/s tech surprised me by telling me that I was having twins. I'm not going to lie, I'm kinda tearing up over here. In that moment I was never so excited, scared, anxious, nervous, thrilled and concerned. I was going to have twins!!! The funny point in this was that Brian wasn't with me. He had to be at a training in St. Louis all week and wasn't allowed to come home at nights. So I had to email him to tell him.

It was a year ago that we had just told our family and close friends that we were having another baby. So as soon as I walked to my car. I gathered myself up and called my mom. I told her to sit down because I had to tell her something. I think she was getting a little scared but when I told her that I was having twins, she screamed!!!!

It was one year ago....that I thought I was never going to be able to hear out of my left ear again! She along with the rest of our families were so happy.

Pictures from that day.

And here they are today!

If you look close the u/s picture on the left is Baby B which is Savannah.
And Charlotte (Baby A) is on the right!

Tuesday they will be 5 months old and I know I have said this before, but still are nothing short of amazing. Amazing that for being how big they actually were at birth. And that we had no complications with their arrival. That they stayed inside me for as long as they did. It's simply incredible.

And people think that there isn't a God.

Psalm 100

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is GOD.
It is he who made us, and we are his.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Nap time

These last 2 days have been beautiful here! And I really wish I would have remembered to take my camera with me while we were outside playing, but I forgot. I was to busy playing, and blowing bubbles, and catching some baby giggles and going for walks and playing soccer, and playing golf, and seeing neighbors for the first time since last fall, and meeting new babies (there were 7 babies born in our subdivision since last October and February!!!!) and well, we have been a little busy!

So when I did FINALLY remember to get out my camera, my little girls were all sleeping!

Isn't she so sweet!
She is having so much fun this spring running around and playing like the big kids did last year!

Oh my Charlotte! She is so laid back!
She loves to watch her big sister and anything else that happens to catch eye!

And Savannah! She is my little Miss Nosey!
She has to she see everything...like now! Sometimes that's why I think she is still so wobbly. She is to busy whipping her head around trying to catch everything!!

Enjoy!
