While Daddy is away.........

Guess what we did????

Haha, just kidding, Brian told me since Addison was born that she had to verbally say the words "I want my ears pierced" before I could go and crate her away to have this done. And since she turned 3 she has been asking. Well, Brian didn't want to go with me to take pictures so it turned into after we move and my mom has a free day kinda thing. Well last night we went and got them done!!!!! She did such a great job, and she was so brave. She cried for about a minute and then when she saw the "pretties" in her ears, she was all better and smiled and giggled because she loved them so much!

Picking out what kind of earrings to get.

Sitting in the big girl chair.

Cleaning her ears.

She wasn't sitting still, so I told her to hold her face still....this is what I got.

Making the purple dots.

Ready, set....

oh tears for a moment...

Grandma was all ready with treats and she smiled she was so happy

See!!!!

Oh and she got a sucker for being such a big girl!!!

  1. We just got our DD's ears pierced recently too. She is 3.5 yrs old. She started saying that she "wants earrings like Mommy". We took our 3 girls to the mall shopping and afterwards she again asked for earrings. I looked at DH and he said "well you said when she asked for them you would feel better about doing it".

After they marked them, I asked her, "...are you sure you still want earrings?" She said "I'm brave, I want sparkly earrings." lol. As I filled out everything and paid my DH showed her the earrings she could choose the sparkly cz's.

She sat in the chair all by herself, and barely cried. Afterwards, she wanted to know if her baby sisters (twin id g/g aged 18 mos) could have earrings too. I told her dh said they had to wait till they asked too. Two days later the twins were infatuated by sissy's earrings and started saying, "...want earwigs!" Asked our ped and she said when mommy could care for them was best. She gave some suggestions for having the girls ears pierced.

Guess what happened next...dh said okay! They were asking for earrings too and their big sister was lobbying on their behalf too. What could hubby say? We took the twins to have them ears pierced one at a time in the store and they did just fine. They love their little earrings and all the girls looks soO adorable with little pierced earrings.

Looking back, I just have done it as an infant to remove any anxiety about doing it. Don't know if you might have considered having your YDD twins ears pierced, but if so then your mommy intuition is telling you to go ahead. Just tell dh, "...the girls kept asking and asking to have their ears pierced." Promise he'll love how they look and all three girls will be daddy's little girls with cute earrings.
